Image for an image. The tautology of the film experience.

The sound, in fact, is a Stuka sound. This music is a Stuka.

Maybe the whistling of the falling bomb.

The image is innerly divided, so is the sound. We see the explosions of the anti-aircraft bombshells concurrently with the city plan (the from above vision) and on land explosions (the from bellow vision). We see the aeroplane-vultures and we witness their perspective. And in one moment the images simulate the being in the fire.

The protracted tones (violin?) evoke the ground sirens and also the specific sound of the deep dive bombardment (the sirens attached to the wings of Stuka.)

The irony of the sound - the psychological weapon and the emergency device in one figure.

Constant undressing of the image. Simulacrum.

What creates my conception of air raid. What exactly I say by the proposition "This is an air raid"? My concept of it is not for sure based on direct experience. I have never experienced the horror of bombardment, yet i am able to recognize it, thus I have some kind of experience. The question is what is the character of this experience and how and when am I able to utilize it. What's the praxis of it? Am I able to recognize the real threat, when my experience has been so far only mediated.
